Review by hotel critic
Review of the Hotel Behind Trinity Cathedral, TbilisiDuring my recent stay in Tbilisi, I had the pleasure of residing at a delightful hotel nestled behind the impressive Trinity Cathedral. The location offers a peaceful atmosphere, albeit a 20-minute walk from the city centre. The views from the balconies were noteworthy, complementing the historic essence of the area. Upon checking in, I was greeted with a complimentary bottle of homemade wine, a warm touch that set the tone for my stay. The staff, especially Tamari and Catherine, were exceptionally helpful, offering insights into local dining options and attractions, which I found beneficial. The spacious room I occupied was comfortable, with adequate housekeeping throughout my visit. While the breakfast provided was simple, it had a homely feel and catered to a range of tastes. The hotel also offers amenities like 24-hour reception and Wi-Fi, ensuring a pleasant experience. It's essential to note that while the immediate surroundings may lack vibrancy, a short uphill walk leads to Vakhtanguri's restaurant, boasting affordable meals and excellent wine.
